1. Golden Shifting
The Golden Shifter program consists of four interlinked modules designed to allow learners to achieve competence in shifting gears. Shifting tasks are segmented and learners practice each task in increasing order of complexity while receiving continuous feedback on their performance. The Golden Shifte program was developed in cooperation with the Centre de Formation en Transport de Charlesbourg (CFTC) where fourteen VS600M simulators are currently in use. To date, learners and trainers have found the Golden Shifte experience to be the most engaging, stimulating and simple way to learn the complex task of shifting. The preliminary results at the CFTC have been so positive that the Golden Shifte diploma has become a prerequisite to driving the real truck. The Golden Shifte is a competency-based program. Points are granted for each successful maneuver while a faulty maneuver generates instantaneous feedback to the driver and reduces the amount of accumulated points. The learner has to accumulate a predetermined score to obtain a certificate and progress to the next step. The average student will master this module within four hours. Full training and driving time will be video recorded and provided on a thumb-drive for future review and/or proof of proficency. Golden Steering Certificate will be provided upon successful completion of module.

Add Advanced Shifting in Hills plus Gear Recovery - This advanced module teaches in-depth down/up shifting through steep hills/slopes plus gear recovery. Add $100.00 + GST to the above price.
2. Golden Steering
This module teaches students the safe way to make turns when in any large truck/trailer combination. This training allows the student to practice and learn how to properly turn their "rig" in any direction, including within a city with traffic. Learn the skills you need to be successful long before actually getting into a real truck! The average student will master this module within two hours. Full training and driving time will be video recorded and provided on a thumb-drive for future review and/or proof of proficency. Golden Steering Certificate will be provided upon successful completion of module.
Only $250.00 + GST - This price includes up to two hours of simulator time plus video review (if required). Please add $85.00 per additional hour requested/required on the simulator.
3. Mirrors and Backing Up
This module is a learning program for backing-up maneuvers and was developed with the same pedagogical philosophy and methods as the Golden Steering Program. The competency-based Golden Mirror program consists of five scenarios that progress from simple straight-line backing with a tractor only to a comprehensive exercise during which the driver has to park the trailer from a 90 degree or 45 degree approach. To master the Golden Mirror module, average students will need to spend four to six hours in this program. once completed, the transition from simulator to a real truck/trailer is minimal. Full training and driving time will be video recorded and provided on a thumb-drive for future review and/or proof of proficency. Golden Mirror Certificate will be provided upon successful completion of module.

4. Coupling/Uncoupling and Docking Trailers
Practice and learn how to couple/uncouple trailers along with docking the trailer. There are three interactive modules to assist the driver in learning this skill. The average student will complete this module within one to 1.5 hours. Essential knowledge for real life work with every variety of semi-trailer.
